Any passionate creator or community leader with an engaged audience can host a trip. You don’t need to be a full-time “travel influencer.” Whether you’re a yoga instructor, a gamer, a foodie, or a college group leader, if you have a group of people who look up to you and share an interest, you can host. We welcome micro-influencers and niche communities! It’s not about the size of your following, but the strength of your connection.

We don’t have strict follower count minimums. Generally, if you reach a few thousand people or more, you can likely get enough interest to fill a small trip. We’ve seen creators with 5k very engaged followers host sold-out trips, while someone with 50k inactive followers might struggle, engagement matters more than numbers. When planning your trip, we’ll work with you on a reasonable minimum group size (often around 10 travelers) needed to confirm the trip. If you’re not sure, apply anyway and we can evaluate together.

Nothing! It’s free to become a host on ITC. We design the trips such that the costs are covered by the traveler bookings. As long as the minimum number of travelers book, your trip expenses (accommodation, activities, etc.) are covered, and you travel for free as the host. We handle payments from travelers and there are no upfront fees or hidden charges for you as a host.

You earn by hosting, essentially, a portion of the trip price goes to you. When we plan your trip, we’ll help set the pricing so that it’s a good value for your community and includes your host revenue. Many hosts earn several thousand dollars per trip. The exact amount depends on the trip price and number of travelers; you’ll know the potential earnings before you launch. We also have bonuses for larger groups and repeat hosts. Payment is typically split, part just before the trip, and the rest after the trip takes place.

We work hard with you to prevent that, with marketing support, timely promotion, and a realistic trip size for your audience. But if, say, you don’t reach the minimum travelers by a set date, we have a few options. We might extend the booking deadline, adjust the trip dates, or in some cases merge interested travelers into another trip (with your approval). If a trip ultimately doesn’t fill, anyone who booked gets a full refund, so no financial implications. We can then regroup and try again with a different plan. Our goal is to help every host succeed, so we’re flexible and proactive in getting your trip over the finish line.

Don’t worry, you’re not alone in this! Your role is to be the connector and cheerleader for your group. You do not have to be a tour guide; we provide professional local guides to handle all the technical stuff (like navigating, scheduling, dealing with vendors). Before your trip, we also give you Host Training 101: tips on how to engage your travelers, set the tone, and handle basic group dynamics. Plus, your ITC coordinator is always just a message away if you need advice or have concerns. Many of our first-time hosts say that once the trip starts, it feels like hanging out with friends – and our guide takes care of the rest. You got this!

We’ve built ITC to be as low-maintenance as possible for hosts. You’ll need to: share a trip survey or teaser to gauge interest (we’ll help with that), collaborate with us for a few hours on trip planning (fun part!), and then promote the trip link on your platforms regularly leading up to departure. During the trip, your time  is just being present and friendly, basically making sure everyone feels included and excited. We handle the heavy lifting (logistics, bookings, customer service, etc.). So compared to planning a trip alone, it’s night and day. Most of our hosts are busy people; we respect your time and make hosting doable even with a packed schedule.

In short, full support, every step of the way. Once you’re on board, you get a dedicated trip coordinator who’s your main point of contact. Need advice on which country would excite your followers most? Want help creating a snazzy promo video? Not sure how to handle a traveler’s question? We’re here for all that.

We provide marketing templates, a personalized booking page, and tips from our past successful hosts. When your trip is live, we manage bookings, payments, and traveler inquiries through our customer support. Leading up to departure, we’ll have check-ins with you and make sure you’re 100% ready. During the trip, our local team is there to manage logistics and any issues, so you’re never left solving problems alone. Basically, we operate like travel ninjas in the background, letting you shine at center stage. ✨

Absolutely. Safety is our top priority. All trips are run by licensed local operators (in fact, they’re our own teams on the ground) and comply with local tourism laws and international travel standards. We vet every activity for safety and ethical standards, from checking that transportation is insured to ensuring wildlife experiences are humane. There’s also comprehensive liability insurance protecting you as the host. Before the trip, travelers get detailed info on health & safety (e.g. required vaccinations, what to pack, etc.). During the trip, our guides are trained in first aid and emergency protocols. You’re in very good hands with ITC, we’ve got your back throughout the journey.
